About Us

Yes 2 You is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to empowering underserved youth and enriching the lives of seniors through transformative STEAM education and activities. Our mission is to provide high-quality STEAM learning experiences that integrate social and emotional learning for youth, and to offer intellectually stimulating activities for seniors that foster cognitive health and social connections.

For Youth

We believe that every young person deserves access to opportunities that ignite their curiosity and inspire their growth. Our programs are designed to equip underserved youth with the skills they need for academic and personal success. By integrating STEAM education with social and emotional learning, we help them build a strong foundation for their future, both in and out of the classroom.

For Seniors

We recognize the importance of cognitive health and social engagement in later years. Our STEAM-based activities for seniors are crafted to stimulate the mind, encourage social interaction, and enhance overall well-being. Through our programs, we aim to create a vibrant and supportive community for seniors, helping them stay active, connected, and engaged.

Dr. Jennifer Nixon
Founder/Executive Director

Dr. Jennifer Nixon is a mother, educator, and entrepreneur. Living and working in the San Antonio, TX area, she is the Founder of Yes 2 You - a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that strives to prepare the youth of today to be tomorrow's leaders. Jennifer has a Doctorate in Information Technology and uses her skills to help teach children how to incorporate technology in their everyday lives. Her vision is centered around developing analytical, technical, and creative thinking skills of youth. She hopes to realize this vision by applying a hands-on, STEM & STEAM learning curriculum where children can learn by doing. Jennifer is nothing if not tenacious, persistently pursuing this dream for many years. Through community services initiatives, she was able to meet like-minded individuals from the community that share a passion for service. She hopes to cultivate these budding relationships into friendships and partnerships in the years to come.

Henry Killackey, Jr.
Board Member

Henry is an experienced Human Resources professional with a passion for helping others learn and realize their career potential. Throughout his career, he has served in organizational development, talent management, and professional education leadership roles for both non-profit and investor-owned healthcare systems. Henry earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Alabama and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. He enjoys being a resident of San Antonio and bringing his energy to establish environments that encourage learning and growth.

Ani Hamparsumyan
Board Member

Ani is a corporate attorney passionate about helping companies and non-profits fulfill their legal and business goals. Born and raised in France, she earned her Bachelor of Laws from King's College London and her JurisDoctor from Columbia Law School. After graduating from law school, she spent her junior years in the Tokyo office of a large US law firm where she worked on complex, cross-border M&A transactions. She moved back to the US in 2022, and is currently based in San Francisco.

Sean Rheubottom
Board Member

Sean Rheubottom is a seasoned professional with almost three decades of experience in Client Relations and Customer Service. Known for his exceptional interpersonal skills, Sean has successfully built and maintained strong relationships with clients across various industries. His commitment to understanding Client needs and delivering tailored solutions has consistently resulted in high levels of satisfaction and repeat business. With a keen focus on communication and problem-solving, he has proven to be an asset in enhancing customer experiences and driving overall client satisfaction. In addition, Sean brings a decade of dedicated service in the United States Army, specializing as a Supply Sergeant. With a meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, Sean effectively managed and maintained the logistical backbone of military operations with assets in excess of 30 million dollars. His expertise in procurement, inventory control, and distribution played a pivotal role in ensuring that his units were well-equipped and mission ready. Known for his leadership and strategic planning, Sean has earned accolades for streamlining supply chains and implementing efficient processes, contributing significantly to the success of military missions.

Swapna Karakavalasa

With over 20+ years of experience spanning diverse roles and industries, Swapna cultivated a reputation for driving revenue growth, leading successful teams, and delivering transformative solutions. Foundations of Excellence – Swapna’s journey in technology leadership began with a strong foundation in computer science, cultivated through rigorous academic pursuits in India and US. Armed with a solid understanding of technology fundamentals and a passion for innovation, she embarked on a career dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the digital realm. Commitment to Continuous Improvement driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence, she continued to enhance her skill set through ongoing education and professional development. From earning certifications in project management, Scrum mastery, and ITIL foundations to pursuing an MBA at the University of California, she is dedicated to staying at the forefront of industry trends and best practices. Pioneering Partner Management at Tavant: Currently at Tavant, she has the privilege of spearheading partner management initiatives that have fueled the company's growth and expansion. As Head of Partner Management, she has been playing a pivotal role in identifying and cultivating strategic business partnerships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Through effective negotiation, collaboration, and relationship-building, she saved significant costs, forecasted new revenue streams, and fostered a culture of innovation and success. Driving Transformation at Pacific Tech Intl: During her tenure at Pacific Tech Intl, she led multi-million-dollar initiatives in program management, overseeing cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and application enhancements for esteemed clients such as FIS and Union Bank. By championing best practices, fostering client relationships, and ensuring seamless project execution, she has earned a reputation for delivering results with excellence and integrity. Empowering Change at Bank of America: As a VP of tech delivery, Swapna spearheaded transformative initiatives in enterprise risk management and project management office (PMO) operations. From leading large-scale consumer loan origination projects, Swapna has demonstrated a knack for navigating complex challenges with agility and foresight. Through effective communication, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive risk management, she has earned the trust and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Beyond her professional endeavors: she is deeply passionate about causes related to children's education, AI, STEAM and STEM for children, hunger, poverty, and psychological well-being of human society. By actively engaging in these areas, she strives to make a positive impact on the world around her and contribute to building a better future for generations to come. As she reflects on her journey thus far, she is honored by the opportunities that made a meaningful impact in the world of technology leadership. From forging strategic partnerships to driving organizational change, her career has been defined by a commitment to innovation, integrity, and excellence. Donna Zupeck
Board Member

Donna spent the first half of her career as a teacher which led her to become a founding member and director of a buddy baseball league for children with special needs. Later in her career she became interested in financial security for people in the service industry. She spent the last half of her career working in financial services where she insured retirement funds were correctly allocated which earned her a green belt for her work. In her role in the IT department she got the chance to partner with IBM to field test their Watson program. Donna has a Bachelor of Science degree in Childhood Education from George Peabody College for Teachers of Vanderbilt University. She is currently retired and living in North Carolina.
